FACE TO FACE RECOVERY SUPPORT IS NOW AVAILABLE

RECOVERY CENTRES:

Recovery Centres have an extensive range of government and non-government services to help with financial, physical and emotional support and offer a one-stop shop for anyone affected by the 2021 floods.

Agencies can provide:

*Financial Assistance for individuals, primary producers and small businesses

*Accommodation advice

*Help with replacing lost documents

*Mental health and wellbeing services

*Clean-up Services

*Insurance and Legal Support

RECOVERY HUBS:

Recovery Hubs will provide some outreach support one-week day per week and one weekend day per fortnight in some areas. Recovery Hubs will provide smaller, place-based access to community and NGO recovery services for anyone affected by the floods or 2018-19 fires.

  • If your home or belongings have been damaged, you can call Disaster Customer Care at Service NSW on 13 77 88
  • If you have a small business you can call the Business Concierge at Service NSW on 13 77 88 or Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593 or visit If you are a primary producer needing assistance you can call Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593 or visit.
  • For assistance from Telstra with diversions, data and reconnection support, call 1800 888 888
  • For assistance with stock and the care of animals phone the Agricultural and Animal Services Hotline on 1800 814 647. The Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Local Land Services (LLS) are providing assistance to landholders and communities with animal welfare-related issues resulting from the floods.
  • For help with Insurance if you are not sure of your insurance details or have general inquiries about the claims process you can call the Insurance Council of Australia’s Disaster Hotline on 1800 734 621.

Hawkesbury City Council is working in partnership with the emergency services, State and Federal government agencies, charities and others to deliver this assistance.

Donations - Official donation channel open – storms and flooding: GIVIT

To help people affected by the severe storms and flooding across New South Wales, generous Australians are encouraged to donate money, items, skills and services online at www.GIVIT.org.au to donate.

Donations for the Severe Storms and Flooding fund on GIVIT can be directed to the Hawkesbury specifically by selecting DONATE FUNDS and typing Hawkesbury in the Comments section when making a donation OR by selecting DONATE FUNDS and selecting to directly FUND items requested in the Hawkesbury area.
